Hello, my name is Xavier Phu and I have been playing soccer for 12 years. My goal is to play soccer at the collegiate and professional level.

In 2022-2023, I competed in the BC Soccer Premier League (BC SPL) which is the highest level of youth development community soccer within BC, Canada. While playing in the BC SPL, I also took advantage of a couple of opportunities to travel to Europe to further develop my soccer skills.

During the spring of 2023, I spent one week training in Italy with Feralpisalos academy team (2007 born). Feralpisalo at the time was at the top of the league of Serie C and was about to be promoted to Serie B. While in Italy, I also trained with A.C Mazzo 80 (2005 born) who is a feeder club to many Italian professional clubs.

During the fall of 2023, I moved to Girona, Spain for three months to train and play with LaLiga’s Girona FC as part of their residency program. This was an amazing opportunity for me to live, train and play with a hand selected group of individuals who were chosen for this program by the European Soccer Solutions. Girona FC at that time, was at the top of the LaLiga tables and their academy team I trained with was 2nd in the Catalan region in the top division, just behind FC Barcelona.

During the summer of 2024, I spent 2.5 months in Norway and trained with the Lillestrøm SK 2nd team. While in Norway I lived with the former head coach of Lillestrom SK which provided me with extra opportunities to improve upon my tactical knowledge and receive constant feedback on my play.

Currently, I am playing at the Men's Division 1 and Premier (top division) levels with Langley United Soccer Association within the Fraser Valley Soccer League in B.C.

In my spare time I am an active grassroots coach at Langley United Soccer Association and as well do private coaching for younger soccer players. I am currently working towards completing my Soccer Canada Coaching Certifications.
